There are times in our daily lives where we always want to keep our online data’s safe or being able to use it across our devices i.e our smartphones and our Computers… and in so doing we mostly use Google Products in doing this because Google offers us a premium free products to use for making our tasks easy like keeping our contacts and families close to us wherever we find ourselves….. But in somewhere along the lines things didn’t go as we thought….
Today i want to show you something which i have seen many people asking of it in our daily lives when it comes to using Google Chrome Browser in keeping in touch with other devices we may have.. Now the issue here is that google allows us to backup our files and Passwords in a twinkle of an eye, ….
Now in my case i was able to do the backup very well..which was saved in a CS V format… and i wanted to use those passwords on y other machine without signing in with my Google account (G mail or G Suite) so i tried to import the Passwords to my Chrome Browser but i couldn’t find the import option in the Menu…… Then i decided to go round Chrome Developer tools to see if its possible to import this passwords….. and low and behold i came out with a solution …. What happened was that, the import option has being disabled the Developer tools….
Today am going to give you a solution for that which i know you will appreciate it… So lets follow this simple steps to do this, if you are willing to import your Passwords to another Google Chrome Browser…
Step1:-
If there is No option to import passwords that Chrome saved in csv file in your Browser then do this Open your Chrome Browser and type “chrome://flags” into the address bar, and then press the Enter key.
Step2:-
When you open that link there is a Disclaimer there which states:- “Experiments WARNING: EXPERIMENTAL FEATURES AHEAD! By enabling these features, you could lose browser data or compromise your security or privacy. Enabled features apply to all users of this browser.”
But in our case we are not going to compromise anything, so nothing to worry about….
Step3:-
Now in the search bar on top of the page, Type in there “Import” now in the first list that appears …which says Password Import is what we are looking for…. You can see that, it will be “Disabled” so just click on the arrow and then select “Enabled“…..
Step4:-
Now after you enabled it …Close the Browser and Re-Open (restart) After restarting it …now goto your browser menu by clicking on the 3 dots in the top right corner of chrome
- Now click on settings
- Click on Auto fill in the left menu
- Click on Passwords..
Now scroll down and you will see saved passwords…. Look for the 3 dots near to it and click on it …there you will now have Import and Export passwords option..then i think our goal is archive…
How to import the CSV Passwords to chrome?……
From the steps above, click on the import option … Now your file manager will open, just locate the passwords you save from the other Browser and click on it to be import… After that, restart your Browser and see your passwords there…. Enjoy….
